Welcome
_I hope you like my site. I've put together the best
photos, videos, and music for you, plus some interesting information
about myself and what students can expect.
Have fun, because that's what drumming is all about --- having F-U-N !!!
So, I hope you join me in enjoying the wonders of drumming. Too many people think that drumming is just hitting a drum head with two sticks ... wow, if they only knew. Ironically, drums may possibly be the most difficult instrument to learn to play because you have 4 different limbs playing all different beats and at different tempos. Although I may have a biased opinion, I'm just trying to explain that drums are not easy, by any means ... but they are F-U-N !!!

Expectations
_As a drum instructor, I have 4 basic goals I would like each student to achieve:
All these things come from understanding your craft. And once you fully understand it and respect it, that is when creativity comes into play and the real FUN starts. I want every student to get to the point where he/she can sit down behind a drum kit and listen and feel the music -- and then create a beat all their own. I prefer students to play acoustic music during this stage, so there are no other drums hindering their creativity. There are many techniques in doing this. But when you get to this stage, they don't have to be explained -- the student will just know what beat to play - without hesitation. That is my goal as a teacher - to have a student who can read, write, play, and "listen and feel" all styles of music. Those are the main essentials in becoming a "TRUE" drummer.
- Read music
- Play music
- Write music
- Listen and Feel all types of music
